Could not able to understand from where this EB2 Vs EB3 scenario came up, silly.
If somebody says EB3 filer is inferior to EB2 (in a way), then it is ridicules. Being said that, nobody has asked to them to opt for EB3, it was just the situation they were in when they started their GC journey. Let it be their educational qualification, experience or job requirement, they opted to go with EB3 with full consciousness and also due to some compelling reasons. If EB2 dates are moving forward why EB2 filers needs to be blamed / targeted for that? This doesn’t make any sense either.
Also, now nobody is stopping them to convert from EB3 to EB2.
Let us just stop this EB2 Vs EB3 crap and do something constructive. These kinds of fights will not take us anywhere.

It is good idea. And ofcourse better than visa number, EB1/EB2/EB3 and all other crap. Countries like UK, Canada, etc. have similar kind of immigration policies.

Since you have not applied this time...you cant get in this years Quota..so get an job where you can get h1 sponsorship next year..So take off to india once your opt is over...get the employer to get you the h1b papers once approves and start to work next 08 Oct1...

1. documented / undocumented is a matter of immigration status..... no human can be illegal..... an activity can be illegal which makes a person undocumented...... as defined by human law...... but above human law there is another law..... which is defined by an entity more or less we all believe in..... how can a new born child.... a creation of the creator be illegal? delivery of a child is not just a matter of mother.... its a matter of another life being brought into this world..... how can that child be illegal?
2. even felons are not shackled to bed.... unless someone is danger to others..... how can a pregnant woman just about to deliver a child be danger to anyone else.....
3. i lost my wallet few days back.... anyone could lose their wallet sometime or the other ..... it happens..... and during that time we are all driving with a license..... does it mean we all must be shackled to bed when delivering a child......
4. unpaid driving fines?? big deal.... obama had unpaid tickets.... which were paid just before announcing presidential nomination.... majority of the people voted him to become the president..... but according to you..... its ok to shackle someone when delivering a child if that person had unpaid tickets..... nice....

2. When IO reviewed your case, did they look at your physical I-485 file? Did the service center transfer your case to the USCIS office you went for the interview?

Great news finally and with not too much waiting.

I have no words to thank you all who were so determined to get this straightened. I was not really expecting this great news after so much disappointment and uncertainity. One thing I strongly believe is the VOICE which was needed and IV proved it by getting us all together. We must all realize that such targets can be possible only for such voice and its possible not by just one or two. We have selected a date and struck the right chord with flowers. Good job,. Please keep up the spirit and never forget to thank all those who contributed and even those who did NOTcontribute or wanted to hear us. That way the reps will know how the other party felt and is thankful and will try to really understand why it meant so much to such a huge highly educated community,.

FYI: I have absolutely no source of information for this, it's purely just what I think, so don't trust me.
From the way USCIS works, it could be that they just haven't given much thought to what they're going to do when a lot of people are sending in applications thru many companies. Or maybe USCIS plans to hold the "random selection" in such a way that only one application per individual gets approved.

Granted you scored a point when you were allowed to file for employment authorization this July. If your one rally worked, do you really think other rallies will work too? The world of politics is driven by numbers; you do not have enough numbers to get any lawmaker interested. So wake up Macacas, admit it, you all are bunch of losers.
So far as the skills are concerned, you have been harping on the theme that you are highly skilled? If the definition of highly skilled is a mere undergrad degrees then 75% of Adult Americans are highly skilled. I bet not even 5% of you have PHDs and you call yourself highly skilled. Huhhh
And this for the leadership of your organization: You are wasting your time. If you are so desperate to get green cards contact me. We will see what we can do� One thing I believe though is this country needs people with leadership skills and not so called "Highly Skilled". So I will be more than happy to work with you. 1) We got a spike in new membership and funds
2) We now have atleast 2 more NATIONAL publications who have taken notice of our activities and are more sympathetic to our causes. They feel we have a compelling story and they are interested in publishing about our plight...
In fact two IV members are being interviewed today by a leading publication.
and the most important
3) We got additional material to provide to senators and their staff...this really helps as we do not have to establish ourselves....our stories along with newspaper articles help make our case much stronger....
When we initially started meeting senators, their staff would ask QGA 'Immigration Voice, who or what is that?'
Lately when we go to meet them, most of the staff have already visited our sites multiple times, know about us because of phone calls and faxes by members and ofcourse the articles that have been published....on top of this when we provide stories of members from their constituency, 50% of our work is already achieved....the liason team and QGA take over from there.
So to answer your question, yes it helped a lot

Now i dont know if that will have adverse consequences, but if it wont then we shud publish more such info on the site. This will convince the fence sitters to contribute and participate more actively. We have the forums on the extreme right, above or below that we shud have a "Live/Recent Updates/Activity" or a link updated as frequently as possible. There was a saying that "IV never sleeps". I think it is time that the people visiting IV and it's forums know that and know what all is going on.

I have canceled 8/24 appointment and plan on taking appointment during first week of September. Los Angeles USCIS have plenty slot available, so taking it easy in taking appointment.

When I read the memo, I was more worried about my name check and whether she would check the status of it than about this, as anyhow my dates are not current. After showing the memo, she did offer to check the status.
With all the experience our guys have with USCIS officers and staff, it's hard to belive an IO would be that helpful? But, she's and even the staff at this office is not as bad as others have experienced.
I was even telling my wife about the behaviour and how staff at other offices behave.
