Every bank is here to make money. I do transfer money through SBI and ICICI , didn't find any difference as far as rates are concerned. Services at ICICI are much better than Sarkari SBI. At least you can do many things with ICICI by sitting here rather than SBI.
Switching is not a good option, What you gonna do if other bank also doing with you the same thing. I would suggest complain it with RBI whatever you are not satisfied with.

Congrats! I know how relieved you must be feeling.
If you dont mind my asking, did you work at all during these 6 weeks?
Folks I have an update on my case.
We filed for Motion to reopen on which were receipted on March 27th, 2009. I wrote to Congressman, Senators and also Ombudsman. Today my congressman's office got an update that our MTRs were approved on April 30th and our 485s got reopened and they have sent letters to that effect.
What a relief. It was a stressful 6 week ordeal. Thanks to IV and its members for the help and support.

You may not be able to attend the San Jose rally but you can still be part of the effort by volunteering to help call the members in California and inform them about this event. You can call even if you are on the East Coast. This is urgent!
This will help us focus on other logistic issues like banners, posting flyers.
Your help will make the San Jose peaceful walk a success!

I have seen so many in this forum spits on L1. This is really bad, we all belong to one family and one kind.
If some one thinks L1 is more advantagous why don't those people join TCS or some thing...
Well let me put some of the Disadv.
1. On L1 one canot change the job. If you want to change the employer you should have H1B
2. L1B salaries are 20% less than H1B on AVG
3. If employer want to send you back (For any silly stupid reason) you are gone
4. Most of the companies like TCS, INFOSYS, WIPRO won't file green cards for 99.99% people
5. On avg a L1 person stays in US in a trip for 1 - 2 years.
Now think!
And above all as I said all those L1 are living in this country legally like me and you, living a painful uncertain life. Because the time is bad now we can't blame them.
Some one talking about getting laid off with TCS employee. just recapture the 5 or 8 years back when you replaced a AMERICAN CITIZEN and you can't call people as idiots ... its street clear.
Well some of you may not agree with me, but if you want to respond harhly just visit any L1B guys house some how they are living.

The only way to track tme money order is after 60 day from bying it. You can go to the post office and they will invistigated. it cost 5 dollars. They wont do it before 60 days. i went and asked.
That is true. It's a lot easier to track Western Union money orders as opposed to those that are issued by USPS.

Yes I agree with you legal immigration is not only EB category, but EB+spouse+child category is the largest when we say Legal Immigration, plus questions are posed by Engineers & Doctors and that automatically tells the person who is reading that it is about EB category. Well, I used the pen tool and the circle shape tools (its a lot easier that way because you can drag the circle out from the center.. and you can find the center easily by using guides :) ) and they worked pretty good for me...
But that might be a little advanceced for someone new to photoshop.

I'm getting married in August and my wife will be here in Sep/Oct. My PD is pretty recent - May 2007 EB2 (India). I'm planning to file my 140/485 (concurrent) and maintain my H1B for now and also bring my wife on H4. As long as she wants to be on H4, I'll maintain my H1 and once my PD comes CURRENT again, I'll file her 485.
Now, I've heard that my 485 won't be approved before my date is CURRENT again. Once the bulletin releases and if my date is CURRENT, I'll send my wife's papers to USCIS immediately. But it seems like I can get FP notice even before my dates become CURRENT. That case, my FP and other stuff might finish early and my wife's late. Does this affect her case in anyway as there is every chance that my 485 gets approved early and hers late. Will she be "out of status" because of her 485 pending and mine approved.
What do you suggest ??

I called of them, took me less than 15 minutes. i am sure everyone else can call too. The selfish brats who have EAD's and are acting ignorant, remember if something goes wrong you could be stuck on EAD's for another 5- 10 years. The point is, we all as a highly skilled immigrants have an obligation to help ourselves and the ones who are stuck in this limbo till we get our GC.
You can either choose a piece of pie or take the whole cake home for your family and friends. Life is all about choices and a man is as good as his word. So give out your good word and help the others. 15 minutes that's it.

If figures provided to Senator are true and way Govt agencies working right now. I think first they will Put hard rule for Eb2 qualification. So almost they can shut door for Eb2. They may only allow 20k orless Eb2 in a year. For next 2 years no more spill over to Eb3. That way they can make Eb2 complete clear and becasue of tough policies it will remain C forever.
now in 2011 Eb3 will get almost major chunk of spill and it will clear Eb3 in next 2-3 years. Also new Eb2 and Eb3 will be stuck at labor and I 140 stage meanwhile. I am expecting that they may come up with new policy that if person does not have approved I 140 , cannot file I 485.
So People will be stuck at all 3 stages of GC. almost 8-12 months on each stage.This way they can remove almost 80 % backlog. Total will be 4 year to clean 80 % backlog. After 2013 there wll be only 200k pending 485 will be with them. Which is nice for them to approve 140k out of them easily in a year and leave 60k in a given year.
