WillWin, I do not agree that India is not moving forward. Infact people in India are raking money. We should not blame politicians or anyone for the state we are in. No one forced us to leave India. Changed Employer in late 2004 and filed for GC. So my priority date is early 2005. Old Employer did not file GC so forced to leave him.
Now in retrogesstion. Employer takes lot of his share in the billing rate. If we need to go for a good billing rate, vendors think I'm new to US as I don't have GC. Lot many Dependents after getting GC started working and so supply for software professionals are more. Demand meets the supply and so the billing rate is down. Most of the vendors prefers only locals. Forced to take job whatever comes first.
Have a grown up child and she has to start his school. Well educated wife not able to work and wasting time and energy. Not able to decide other than being in US. Keep reading the forums and whenever some bill comes up hope rises, but all now in vain. From now will not expect or believe anything from US congress/senate until President signs it.

You have a valid point about gctest. But again, there is no way EB2/EB3 gets to port to EB1. If it was so, then it would be a chaos here. Only porting that happens is E3 to EB2 and may be that's why he used EB3 in his post.

There is vast difference between US and Indian housing market crash. India RE market will not collapse like here. There may be a melt down or small correction. The simple big reason is demand for housing in middle class due to economic growth. Based on population density, US is 9 times bigger than India. Lot of land in US. But housing land is so limited in India. So there is always demand. Second reason, there is no sub-prime lending in India. Third, in India, housing loan is based on cash worthiness rather than credit worthyness like in US. So we may not see such a massive foreclosure/bankrupcy in India to bring the price down considerably like in US.

One thing that I came to know was that Patriot America and Protection America both are the same insurance from same underwriter. Only difference is that you cannot renew Patriot America if you purchase it for less than 3 months.
If your parents will be here for at least 3 month then look at this option. Protection America costs > 400 for 3 months.
I know they have a good network but nothing much about how good they are in processing claims

Let it be an open forum. The reason why Rajeev Khanna's Immigration Portal got so many hits before IV was that it is free.....Why we need to have paid membership when our funding drive was successful is still beyond me
I never have and never will like the idea of being asked to pay, I give what I can unasked. What of the people that by circumstance do currently not have these amounts of money to spare. I should not have to feel excluded nor should I have to explain my very personal reasons why to everyone.
Have you guys looked in the forums lately, people are getting "yelled" at and talked to rudely if they do not disclose how much exactly they have contributed. So we are only allowed to an opinion or help if we have money?
I will contribute when I have money to spare, however it seems I will have to leave this organization based on the comments that have been out there before I get to the point where I can afford to contribute. That goes for both time and money, some of us have responsibilities that we do not want to disclose.

USCIS can't cash the checks. A check submitted with AnY application can only be cashed if and when the agency decides that the application can be accepted and processed(initial processing.)
